Kuberjee has been officially incubated by IIMA Ventures under the Bharat Inclusion Initiative (BII), a prestigious program supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Kuberjee has been granted ₹50 lakhs to build a women-centric, tech-enabled, and financially inclusive ecosystem for rural India. This milestone acknowledges Kuberjee's grassroots innovation model and commitment to financial inclusion for underserved communities.
Kuberjee, a digital banking platform, has been working to bridge financial gaps in rural India by enabling women BC agents to offer digital and banking services. With support from IIMA Ventures and the Gates Foundation, we have expanded its digital infrastructure, enabling it to scale operations, improve financial literacy, and offer innovative non-CICO products tailored to local needs.
Being selected under the Bharat Inclusion Initiative means more than just funding—it gives us access to a collaborative ecosystem of experts, resources, and a platform to test and refine our ideas with real-world impact in mind.
Some of the key outcomes and benefits include:
Kuberjee is empowering women BC agents to provide essential digital and banking services in rural India. With support from IIMA Ventures and the Gates Foundation, the platform has expanded its digital infrastructure and improved financial literacy. Kuberjee's vision is to empower 3 million women and establish a sustainable, women-led financial ecosystem. By digitizing financial services, mentoring rural entrepreneurs, creating local job opportunities, and promoting digital finance in low-income households, the platform is fostering a future where women drive economic empowerment.
This recognition and support from IIMA Ventures and the Gates Foundation mark a proud moment in Kuberjee’s journey. But more importantly, it’s a new beginning—a chance to innovate with even greater focus, expand our footprint, and transform more lives across India.
As we move forward, we remain rooted in our mission to serve rural India with dignity, innovation, and empathy. Every milestone like this brings us closer to a future where every woman has the tools to succeed, and no community is left behind.
