Kuberjee Signs MoU with GLPC to Empower 3 Million Rural Women

Kuberjee is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company (GLPC), a government entity dedicated to strengthening rural livelihoods through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and collective micro-enterprises. Through a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), this collaboration aims to empower 3 million rural women across Gujarat by enabling financial independence, digital inclusion, and entrepreneurial growth.

A Shared Vision: Empowering Rural Women

GLPC works to improve the socio-economic conditions of rural communities by organizing women into self-help groups, producer groups, and collectives. These groups are supported to participate in micro-enterprise ventures by partnering with industries, NGOs, and startups like Kuberjee. The decentralized model allows women to take up intensive tasks as job-works from their homes or villages, ensuring self-employment and dignity of labor.
Through this partnership, Kuberjee will bring digital financial tools, training, and services directly to the doorstep of these groups. The goal is not just to deliver services but to empower women to become service providers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers in their communities.

Driving Financial Inclusion at the Grassroots

The core objective of this collaboration is to align with GLPC’s mission of :

• Empowering women by organizing them into financially literate and independent SHGs.
• Providing them with easy access to digital financial services.
• Strengthening their existing livelihoods and boosting household income.
• Exploring new income streams through rural service ventures.
• Creating inclusive value chains with women at the center.

Kuberjee will offer a range of services, including banking, savings, credit facilitation, and gold-based financial products, through its network of trained Business Correspondents (BCs)—most of whom will be selected and trained from within these SHGs.

ONDC Onboarding for Women Entrepreneurs

A major milestone of this collaboration is the joint effort to onboard rural women sellers, artisans, and micro-entrepreneurs onto ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce). With ONDC, these women will have the tools to:

• List and sell their products digitally.
• Access new markets across India without relying on middlemen.
• Receive training in packaging, pricing, digital marketing, and logistics.
• Earn sustainable income and scale their businesses digitally.

Kuberjee’s field team will work closely with GLPC’s community structures to identify and support eligible sellers, helping them go live on ONDC platforms and tap into the vast e-commerce ecosystem.
